Sunday at Albright United Methodist Church

We had a wonderful time this past Sunday sharing at the Albright United Methodist Church. They made us feel very at home. A special thanks to Pastor Dennis and Pastor Warren for all of their help. Also to the Missions Committee for allowing us to be a part of their missions Sunday celebration.

We were so pleased at the response to the message and presentation. Many came up to us afterward and expressed their new understanding of how missions will affect their lives. The theme for the services was, "It's not mission stuff, it is The Mission".  God's mandate is for all of us to "go and make disciples of all peoples....".  No one gets a pass. We are all on the mission field in our communities, where we work, in our schools, and when we travel.
We will be updating our support status next week after we get our January reports. We do know that we are making slow but steady progress. We are so thankful for those who have answered the call to give of their resource's.
Please continue to keep us in prayer as we look for new opportunities to share and we continue with our classes!
No update on the house, that is on God's to-do list. :) All joking aside, we do truly believe that God will help us sell the home at the appropriate time.
Thank you for staying in touch!

Moving Ahead

Things are moving ahead. We are very busy getting ourselves ready for the mission field. It has been a very busy but exciting time. Dana and I are about 25% complete on our Perspectives class, and are loving it! We are also enrolled now at Indiana Wesleyan University taking a few Bible classes on-line. We will be starting those in two weeks.
This coming Sunday the 29th of January we will be taking part in the Missions Sunday service at the Albright United Methodist Church in Mishawaka, IN. We are very excited to bring the passion we have for our Fathers mission to this gathering. Please pray for us as we prepare this week, and ask the Lord's leading in conveying the important message of His command to each of us in going and making disciples for Christ.
No new news on the house, but we are more confident than ever that the Lord, in His time, will provide the right avenue to sell our home. We are fully trusting in Him. We thank you for your continued prayers.
We do not have an update yet on the funding. The end of the year items have not made it to us yet. We do know that several things have come in and hope to have an update by next week.
We start this week very encouraged and excited for what God has for us next. We have seen Him work in some wonderful and tangible ways this past two weeks. Have a great week!

Staying Connected

We were able to spend some time today with some of our champions in this ministry.  What a wonderful time we had sharing about the ministry God has laid on our hearts, and then hearing their story of how God has lead them to this point in their lives.

Dan and I are both progressing in our Perspectives class.  We are enjoying the class immensely.  The lessons are long and take many hours to complete, but they are worth it.  It is a joy to be immersed in the study of God's Word!

In an effort to keep more of you involved/updated, we are hoping to have our first newsletter out within the next two weeks!

Keep in mind that January 29th we will be speaking at Albright United Methodist Church in both their services.  We are very excited at this opportunity and look forward to sharing our story.

Please keep us in your prayers,

A New Year

We are so sorry it has been so long since our last post. It has been a wonderful time of family and renewal. We are so very excited about this New Year! This is the year we believe we will be taking our mission to Kenya.

Dana and I have been working on our on-line class "Perspectives" and it is going great. The course is 15 lessons and has a whole lot of reading. This is one of the classes required for all new missionaries at WGM and we are glad for it. It has revealed to both of us another very important facet of God's heart, missions! We are excited to have the opportunity over the next weeks to let you know of our progress and how God is using this to prepare our hearts.

 UPDATES:

The House - we have had several calls on the house this last week, though no serious lookers. We have met with a realtor, and we will be meeting with another next week. Please pray for wisdom as we make decisions on the best way to sell the house. We do know that our Father is in full control, and He will have the perfect time and person. We want to be attuned to His leading.

Support - We are making some good progress we are currently at 28% and we know that there are a few more to come in yet. If you have sent in a card and have not heard from us please let us know, it does take several weeks sometimes to get through the process.

Last evening we had the opportunity to sit down to a meal and some good fellowship with Jim and Alice Vanderhoof. It was so good to be able to connect and hear what is going on in Kenya. Jim and Alice are here in the states on HMA and will be returning to Kenya sometime in April. We pray for safe journey for them as they travel and reconnect with family and their mission team. Thank you for all that you do as the Director of the Kenya Field.

Thank you so much to all who have partnered with us to bring the Good News to the people of Kenya, to show compassion and love to the orphans and the widows of Kenya, and to be the hands and feet of Christ to all we meet.
Blessings
